About the Teacher
Monroe County Virtual School has allowed me to continue part-time in a career that I love—TEACHING! In 2022, I retired from Monroe County Schools with 29.5 years of service. Fifteen and a half of those years I taught English at Tellico Plains High, Madisonville High, Sweetwater High, and Tellico Plains Jr. I was an Assistant Principal Administrator at Tellico Plains High School and Monroe County Alternative School for the remainder of my career. Honestly, I can say that I am truly blessed to have met and formed relationships with students and parents of students through the years that will be with me forever.
I attended Tennessee Wesleyan University to earn a bachelor's degree in English education, and I continued my education at Trevecca University to earn a Degree in Administration and Supervision. I fully enjoy working with young people and helping them further their education. This career has absolutely been a gift of God and I have and continue to enjoy the journey.
My husband Bobby and I have two daughters, Brooke and Sarah. Of course, Zeke and Cat Tyndall, our grandchildren, are the joy of our lives. Thank you for allowing me to encourage and work with your children as their English teacher.
